Job Duties
- Be visible and actively greet, engage and assist customers
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently
- Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons, and loyalty offers according to company policy
- Understand and adhere to company limits on cash shortages and overages
- Follow guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol and tobacco
- Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and safety procedures
- Reinforce safety programs by identifying unsafe conditions and notifying management
- Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting issues
- Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
- Adhere to all local, state and federal laws and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment
- Manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
- Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs and older adults
