Job Duties
- Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
- process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- handle various payment tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, coupons, and loyalty offers
- adhere to company policies regarding cash handling, loss prevention, and restricted product sales
- report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- stay informed of current and seasonal promotions
- comply with all food safety regulations
- reinforce safety programs by identifying and reporting unsafe conditions
- perform preventive maintenance checkups and notify management of items needing repair
- create a welcoming environment by answering product questions
- adhere to all relevant laws and company guidelines
- work cooperatively and manage conflict professionally in a fast-paced environment
- act with honesty and integrity in handling information
- seek assistance when necessary to resolve issues
- provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
