Job Duties
- Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
- process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- handle various payment methods including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons according to company policy
- adhere to company guidelines on cash shortages, restricted sales, and loss prevention
- report pricing discrepancies to Scan Coordinator
- follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- maintain knowledge of current, seasonal, and special promotions
- comply with all food safety regulations and store safety programs
- identify and report unsafe conditions or equipment needing repair
- provide a welcoming environment by answering customer inquiries about products
- adhere to local, state, and federal laws and company policies
- work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and manage conflict reasonably
- act with honesty and integrity in handling customer and business information
- provide support through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
