- prior experience as a bagger or courtesy clerk preferred
Job Duties
- Greet and engage customers actively
- process customer transactions efficiently and accurately
- handle various payment types using the POS system including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons
- adhere to company policies on cash handling and loss prevention
- understand and comply with guidelines for restricted sale items
- report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- follow established procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- keep updated with current, future, and seasonal advertisements
- comply with food safety regulations
- identify and report unsafe conditions and assist in safety programs
- inspect equipment and report maintenance needs
- provide customer support by answering product questions
- comply with all legal and company guidelines
- work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
- manage conflicts reasonably
- act with honesty and integrity regarding business information
- follow directions and seek assistance when needed
- provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
