  • prior experience as a bagger or courtesy clerk preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet and engage customers actively
  • process customer transactions efficiently and accurately
  • handle various payment types using the POS system including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons
  • adhere to company policies on cash handling and loss prevention
  • understand and comply with guidelines for restricted sale items
  • report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
  • follow established procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • keep updated with current, future, and seasonal advertisements
  • comply with food safety regulations
  • identify and report unsafe conditions and assist in safety programs
  • inspect equipment and report maintenance needs
  • provide customer support by answering product questions
  • comply with all legal and company guidelines
  • work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
  • manage conflicts reasonably
  • act with honesty and integrity regarding business information
  • follow directions and seek assistance when needed
  • provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
