Job Duties
- Greet customers actively and assist them effectively
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the Point of Sale system
- Handle multiple payment types including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and loyalty offers
- Adhere to company policies regarding cash limits, restricted sale items, and loss prevention
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay informed on current, seasonal, and special advertising promotions
- Maintain food safety standards and comply with safety procedures in the store
- Inspect equipment regularly and report maintenance needs
- Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering product questions and providing assistance
- Comply with all local, state, and federal laws, as well as company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in fast-paced environments and manage conflicts calmly
- Demonstrate honesty and integrity in handling customer and business information
- Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
