Job Duties
- Greet and engage customers actively
- process customer transactions quickly and accurately
- operate the Point of Sale (POS) system handling various tender types including cash, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and WIC
- adhere to company policies on cash handling and restricted sales
- report pricing discrepancies
- follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- stay informed about current and upcoming promotions and ads
- comply with all food safety regulations and guidelines
- support store safety programs by identifying and reporting unsafe conditions
- inspect equipment and report maintenance needs
- provide excellent customer service by answering product questions
- adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
- manage conflict in a nonconfrontational manner
- act with honesty and integrity
- seek assistance when necessary to resolve issues
- provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
