Job Duties

  • Greet and engage customers actively
  • process customer transactions quickly and accurately
  • operate the Point of Sale (POS) system handling various tender types including cash, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and WIC
  • adhere to company policies on cash handling and restricted sales
  • report pricing discrepancies
  • follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • stay informed about current and upcoming promotions and ads
  • comply with all food safety regulations and guidelines
  • support store safety programs by identifying and reporting unsafe conditions
  • inspect equipment and report maintenance needs
  • provide excellent customer service by answering product questions
  • adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
  • work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
  • manage conflict in a nonconfrontational manner
  • act with honesty and integrity
  • seek assistance when necessary to resolve issues
  • provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
