Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • One year experience operating a cash register in a food service establishment or equivalent
  • Food Handlers Permit accredited by Texas Department of State Health Services or American National Standards Institute
  • Demonstrated skills and competencies in job duties through assessments and evaluations
  • Proficiency in English speaking, reading and writing
  • Basic math ability
  • Team player mindset
  • Knowledge of local food ordinances

Job Duties

  • Handle cash, credit and other payment transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Issue receipts and provide correct change
  • Prepare cashier’s end of shift reports and deposit revenues following cash handling procedures
  • Support food service operations including assistance in dining rooms and operating food service equipment
  • Maintain stock levels and update menu boards
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of service areas and equipment
  • Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers and management to resolve issues and promote positive environment
