Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Greeting customers actively and assisting them effectively
  • processing customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • handling various payment methods including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons and loyalty offers
  • adhering to company policies regarding cash shortages, overages, restricted sales, and checkout procedures
  • reporting pricing discrepancies and following established policies for stamps, coupons, and gift cards
  • staying current with pricing ads and promotions
  • complying with all food safety regulations and guidelines
  • reinforcing safety programs and notifying management about unsafe conditions
  • performing preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting needed repairs
  • creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers by answering product questions
  • complying with all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
  • working cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment
  • managing conflict in a nonconfrontational, cooperative manner
  • acting with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • following directions and seeking help to resolve issues
  • providing support through interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
