Job Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them as needed
- process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- operate the Point of Sale (POS) system handling various payment methods including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons and loyalty offers
- adhere to company policies on cash handling, loss prevention, and restricted sale items
- report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- stay updated on current and upcoming sales and promotions
- comply with all food safety regulations and store safety procedures
- identify and report unsafe conditions or equipment needing repair
- create a welcoming and helpful shopping environment for customers
- work cooperatively in a high-paced environment
- manage conflict professionally and cooperatively
- act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- follow directions and seek help when needed
