- Familiarity with Point of Sale systems
- Ability to work cooperatively in fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle cash and multiple payment methods accurately

- Honesty and integrity in dealing with customers and business information
Job Duties
- Be visible and actively greet, engage and assist customers
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Operate Point of Sale system handling cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, offline SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, complex loyalty offers, coupons
- Adhere to company policies on cash shortages, overages, and restricted sales items
- Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- Follow policies and procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads
- Comply with all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Identify unsafe conditions, accidents, or issues and notify store management
- Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs
- Create a welcoming environment and answer product questions
- Adhere to local, state and federal laws and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in high-paced, sometimes stressful environment
- Manage conflict reasonably, nonconfrontationally and cooperatively
- Act with honesty and integrity about customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
- Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
