Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years related work experience
- Prior cashier or food service experience
- Valid ServSafe or other approved Food Handler Certification
- Legal age to serve alcohol according to state regulations
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Maintain personal hygiene and uniform standards
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 lbs
- Ability to perform multiple tasks
- Maintain composure under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years related work experience
- Prior cashier or food service experience
- Valid ServSafe or Food Handler certification
- Strong integrity and honesty
- Proficient reading and writing skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to operate POS and credit card equipment
- Ability to multitask and maintain composure under pressure
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- Familiarity with restaurant operations and company policies
- Ability to follow instructions and safety rules
- Physical ability to lift, bend, reach, and stand for extended periods
Job Duties
- Greet guests, receive food orders, repeat food orders, charge the appropriate price for each menu item ordered by guests, receive the correct amount tendered by guests and provide the correct change for each transaction
- Enact gift cards requested by guests
- Stay current with California Fish Grill menu and prices
- Interact with guests in a friendly and fast manner
- Correct guest orders efficiently
- Detect counterfeit money and respond to such situations
- Verify age before serving alcoholic beverages
- Treat guests to ensure complete satisfaction
- Maintain neat and clean uniform and personal hygiene
- Keep work area clean
- Clean and maintain equipment used
- Complete in-service training, attendance, uniform and dress code requirements
- Support restaurant mission, values, and vision
- Implement safety procedures and programs including fire/safety/disaster plans
- Maintain confidentiality of guest data including credit card information
- Comply with laws and policies against harassment and discrimination
- Cooperate and work with co-workers using tactful communication
- Follow up on complaints and concerns
- Promote positive public relations
- Perform other duties as assigned
