Job Requirements

- Knowledge of basic math including counting, addition, and subtraction

Job Duties
- Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and visibly
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently using the POS system
- Handle various payment types including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons according to company policies
- Adhere to company guidelines on cash handling, restricted sale items, and loss prevention
- Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- Follow established policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Maintain knowledge of current, future, seasonal, and special ads
- Comply with all food safety regulations and reinforce safety programs
- Identify unsafe conditions and notify store management
- Inspect equipment and report repair needs
- Provide a welcoming environment that values customers
- Adhere to all local, state, federal laws, and company guidelines
- Manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner
- Act with honesty and integrity
- Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
- Support special customer needs including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
