Job Requirements
- Must be of legal age according to State regulations to serve alcohol
- Ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 lbs or less
- Must maintain good personal hygiene and wear neat uniform
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures related to job safety
- Ability to recognize counterfeit money
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks and maintain composure under pressure
- Proficient in English reading and writing skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in restaurant or retail cashier role preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to operate POS and credit card equipment proficiently
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure
- Proficient reading and writing skills
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Demonstrated teamwork and adaptability
- Legal age to serve alcohol according to state regulations
Job Duties
- Greet guests, receive food orders, repeat food orders, charge the appropriate price for each menu item ordered by guests, receive the correct amount tendered by guests and provide the correct change for each transaction
- Enact gift cards requested by guests
- Be very familiar with and up to date with California Fish Grill Restaurant’s menu and prices
- Interact with guests in a friendly and fast manner
- Make corrections to guest orders in a fast and efficient manner
- Determine counterfeit money and respond to situations involving counterfeit money
- Assure age requirements are verified prior to serving alcoholic beverages
- Treat all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction
- Report to work in a neat and clean uniform
- Keep work area neat and clean at all times
- Clean and maintain equipment used
- Complete requirements for in-service training, attendance, uniform and dress codes including personal hygiene, and other work duties as assigned
