- Ability to handle a variety of payment methods and operate POS systems
- Ability to maintain honesty and integrity

Job Duties
- Greet and engage customers actively at the checkout area
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Use the Point of Sale (POS) system to handle various tenders such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons
- Adhere to company policies regarding cash shortages, overages, and loss prevention
- Follow guidelines on restricted sale items including alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs
- Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- Comply with food safety regulations and store safety procedures
- Identify unsafe conditions and notify management
- Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs
- Provide product information and answer customer questions
- Manage conflict professionally and cooperatively
- Maintain honesty and integrity in handling customer and business information
- Support interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve issues
- Perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
