Job Requirements
- Be of legal age according to state regulations to serve alcohol
- Follow written and oral instructions from the Restaurant Manager
- Adhere to company policies and procedures related to job safety including safety rules and regulations
- Report to work in a neat and clean uniform with good personal hygiene
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Willingness to complete in-service training and comply with attendance requirements
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in restaurant or cashier position preferred
- Knowledge of restaurant operations
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to operate POS and credit card equipment
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure
- Proficient reading and writing skills
- Ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items up to 50 pounds
Job Duties
- Greet guests, receive food orders, repeat food orders, charge the appropriate price for each menu item ordered by guests, receive the correct amount tendered by guests and provide the correct change for each transaction
- Be able to enact gift cards requested by guests
- Be very familiar with and up to date with California Fish Grill Restaurant's menu and prices
- Interact with guests in a friendly/fast manner
- Ability to make corrections to guest orders in a fast and efficient manner
- Ability to determine counterfeit money and respond to situations involving counterfeit money
- Assure age requirements are verified prior to serving alcoholic beverages
