Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- able to work Monday through Friday with variable hours
- able to stand for extended periods
- able to follow company policies and procedures
- previous experience in cash handling preferred
- able to maintain confidentiality and integrity when managing cash
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous cash handling experience helpful but not required
- ability to interact politely and effectively with customers
- basic math skills for making change and handling transactions
- effective communication skills
- ability to maintain sanitation and safety standards
- familiarity with cash register operation and handling various payment methods
Job Duties
- Performs sales transactions in a timely fashion
- enters all sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded
- makes change, accepts declining balance cards and other acceptable forms of payment
- issues receipts to customers
- follows standard procedures for issuing cash refunds
- interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- responsible for all assigned change funds and cash receipts ensuring that cash drawer is in compliance with overage/shortage standards
