Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous cash handling or cashier experience in a restaurant setting preferred
- basic math skills
- ability to operate POS and credit card equipment
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- proficient reading and writing skills
- ability to follow instructions and policies
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles
- ability to multitask and work under pressure
- ability to stand and perform physical tasks such as reaching, lifting, bending up to 50 lbs
- ability to identify counterfeit currency
- legal age to serve alcoholic beverages
Job Duties
- greet guests and receive food orders
- repeat food orders accurately
- charge the correct price for menu items ordered by guests
- receive the correct amount tendered and provide accurate change
- enact gift cards as requested by guests
- stay up to date with menu items and prices
- interact with guests in a friendly and efficient manner
- make prompt corrections to guest orders
- identify and respond appropriately to counterfeit money
- verify age requirements before serving alcoholic beverages
- maintain neat and clean uniform and personal hygiene
- keep work area clean and organized
- clean and maintain equipment used
- complete in-service training and comply with attendance and dress codes
