Job Requirements
- Must be of legal age according to state regulations to serve alcohol
- ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 lbs or less
- ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures as directed by the restaurant manager
- ability to be aware of and follow company policies and procedures related to job safety including safety rules and regulations
- 100 percent continuous reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop and wipe
- ability to maintain personal hygiene and neat uniform
- ability to identify counterfeit money
Job Qualifications
- Proficient reading and writing skills
- proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills
- ability to operate a POS
- ability to operate credit card equipment
- ability to interact with guests effectively
- ability to maintain composure under pressure
- knowledge of restaurant operations
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- knowledge of quality guest service
- knowledge of safe work habits and procedures
- knowledge of company rules and procedures including compliance with state and federal laws
Job Duties
- Greet guests, receive food orders, repeat food orders, charge the appropriate price for each menu item ordered by guests, receive the correct amount tendered by guests and provide the correct change for each transaction
- be able to enact gift cards requested by guests
- be very familiar with and up to date with California Fish Grill Restaurant’s menu and prices
- interact with guests in a friendly/fast manner
- ability to make corrections to guest orders in a fast and efficient manner
- ability to determine counterfeit money and respond to situations involving counterfeit money
- assure age requirements are verified prior to serving alcoholic beverages
