Job Requirements
- Customer service experience
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math including counting, addition, and subtraction
- Ability to operate Point of Sale (POS) systems
- Capability to work cooperatively in high-paced and sometimes stressful environment
- Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational, and cooperative manner
- Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
- Capability to provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults

Job Qualifications

- Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is preferred

Job Duties
- Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and visibly
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Operate Point of Sale (POS) system and handle various payment tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons
- Adhere to company policies regarding cash shortages, restricted items, and loss prevention
- Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator and follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay informed about current and seasonal promotions and ads
- Comply with food safety regulations and workplace safety procedures
- Identify and report unsafe conditions or equipment needing repair
- Create a welcoming environment by answering product-related questions
- Work cooperatively in high-paced and stressful environments
- Manage conflict in a reasonable, non-confrontational manner
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed
- Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
