Job Duties
- Greet and engage customers actively and courteously
- process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently using POS system
- handle tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons, and loyalty offers according to company policy
- adhere to cash shortage and overage limits and work to control loss honestly
- follow guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol and tobacco
- report pricing discrepancies to Scan Coordinator
- comply with food safety regulations and company policies
- support store safety programs and report unsafe conditions
- perform preventive equipment maintenance and report repair needs
- create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
- adhere to local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
- manage conflict cooperatively and nonconfrontationally
- act with honesty and integrity regarding customers and business information
- provide assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
