Job Requirements
- Must be of legal age according to State regulations to serve alcohol
- Ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 lbs or less
- Proficient reading and writing skills
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures as directed by the Restaurant Manager
- Maintain composure under pressure and during urgent situations
- Adherence to uniform and personal hygiene standards
- Knowledge and compliance with safety rules and regulations
- Availability to work during restaurant serving hours
- Completion of in-service training and attendance requirements
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in restaurant cashier or customer service roles preferred
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and food safety practices
- Ability to operate point-of-sale (POS) and credit card processing equipment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math and cash handling skills
Job Duties
- Greet guests, receive food orders, repeat food orders, charge the appropriate price for each menu item ordered by guests, receive the correct amount tendered by guests and provide the correct change for each transaction
- Be able to enact gift cards requested by guests
- Be very familiar with and up to date with California Fish Grill Restaurant’s menu and prices
- Interact with guests in a friendly and fast manner
- Ability to make corrections to guest orders in a fast and efficient manner
- Ability to determine counterfeit money and respond to situations involving counterfeit money
- Assure age requirements are verified prior to serving alcoholic beverages
