Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior cashier or customer service experience preferred
- ability to operate a POS system and credit card equipment
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- capability to perform physical tasks including standing, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs
- attentive to detail and accuracy in monetary transactions
- ability to detect counterfeit money
- comply with legal requirements for serving alcohol
- follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- maintain personal hygiene and neat appearance
- availability to work flexible hours including weekends
- ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Job Qualifications

- prior experience in cashier or customer service role preferred
- knowledge of restaurant operations
- familiarity with POS systems

- basic math skills for handling cash transactions
- ability to follow instructions and company policies
- understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- proficiency in interpersonal relations and guest service
- capable of maintaining composure under pressure
- ability to stand and perform physical tasks required
- legal age to serve alcohol
- basic reading and writing skills
Job Duties
- Greet guests, receive food orders, repeat food orders, charge the appropriate price for each menu item ordered by guests, receive the correct amount tendered by guests and provide the correct change for each transaction
- enact gift cards requested by guests
- be very familiar with and up to date with California Fish Grill Restaurant’s menu and prices
- interact with guests in a friendly and fast manner
- make corrections to guest orders in a fast and efficient manner
- determine counterfeit money and respond to situations involving counterfeit money
- assure age requirements are verified prior to serving alcoholic beverages
- treat all guests to ensure their complete satisfaction
- report to work in a neat and clean uniform
- keep work area neat and clean at all times
- clean and maintain equipment used
- complete requirements for in-service training, acceptable attendance, uniform and dress codes, and other work duties as assigned
