Job Requirements
- Must be of legal age according to State regulations to serve alcohol
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in restaurant operations or cashiering is beneficial
- ability to maintain composure under pressure
- excellent personal hygiene and neat uniform
- adherence to company attendance and dress codes
- ability to comply with safety, fire, and disaster plans
- comply with confidentiality of guest credit card information
- ability to cooperate and work with co-workers with minimal supervision
- willingness to participate in in-service training
Job Qualifications
- Proficient reading and writing skills
- proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills
- ability to operate a POS
- ability to operate credit card equipment
- ability to interact with guests effectively
- ability to handle multiple tasks
- ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing 50 lbs or less
- manual dexterity
- auditory and visual skills
- ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures
- ability to be aware of and follow company policies and procedures related to job safety
Job Duties
- Greet guests, receive food orders, repeat food orders, charge the appropriate price for each menu item ordered by guests, receive the correct amount tendered by guests and provide the correct change for each transaction
- enact gift cards requested by guests
- be very familiar with and up to date with California Fish Grill Restaurant's menu and prices
- interact with guests in a friendly and fast manner
- make corrections to guest orders in a fast and efficient manner
- determine counterfeit money and respond to situations involving counterfeit money
- assure age requirements are verified prior to serving alcoholic beverages
