Job Requirements
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol according to state regulations
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures as directed by the Restaurant Manager
- Maintain neat and clean personal appearance including uniform and personal hygiene
- Ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing up to 50 lbs
- Proficient reading and writing skills
- Ability to be aware of and follow company policies and procedures related to job safety
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks effectively
- Willingness to participate in in-service training and adhere to attendance policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in cash handling or retail preferred
- Ability to operate POS systems and credit card equipment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic math proficiency
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure
Job Duties
- Greet guests receive food orders repeat food orders charge the appropriate price for each menu item ordered by guests receive the correct amount tendered by guests and provide the correct change for each transaction
- Be able to enact gift cards requested by guests
- Be very familiar with and up to date with California Fish Grill Restaurant’s menu and prices
- Interact with guests in a friendly/fast manner
- Ability to make corrections to guest orders in a fast and efficient manner
- Ability to determine counterfeit money and respond to situations involving counterfeit money
- Assure age requirements are verified prior to serving alcoholic beverages
- Treat all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction
- Report to work in a neat and clean uniform well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential
- Keeps work area neat and clean at all times
- Cleans and maintains equipment used
- Completes requirements for in-service training acceptable attendance uniform and dress codes including personal hygiene and other work duties as assigned
