Job Requirements
- Must be of legal age according to state regulations to serve alcohol
- ability to operate a POS and credit card equipment
- ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures as directed by the Restaurant Manager
- ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 lbs or less
- proficiency in reading and writing
- maintain composure under conditions of urgency or pressure
- consistent attendance and punctuality
- neat and clean uniform and personal hygiene
- compliance with safety rules and regulations
- ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- ability to detect counterfeit money
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience with cash handling and POS systems preferred
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to multitask and work under pressure
- familiarity with California Fish Grill menu items and prices is a plus
- legal age to serve alcohol according to state regulations
Job Duties
- Greet guests, receive food orders, repeat food orders, charge the appropriate price for each menu item ordered by guests, receive the correct amount tendered by guests and provide the correct change for each transaction
- enact gift cards requested by guests
- be very familiar with and up to date with California Fish Grill Restaurant’s menu and prices
- interact with guests in a friendly and fast manner
- make corrections to guest orders in a fast and efficient manner
- determine counterfeit money and respond to situations involving counterfeit money
- assure age requirements are verified prior to serving alcoholic beverages
- treat all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction
- report to work in a neat and clean uniform
- keep work area neat and clean at all times
- clean and maintain equipment used
- complete requirements for in-service training, acceptable attendance, uniform and dress codes including personal hygiene, and other work duties as assigned
