Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be of legal age according to state regulations to serve alcohol
- Ability to operate POS systems and credit card equipment
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Ability to perform physical tasks including reaching, bending, lifting, carrying, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing and pulling items up to 50 lbs
- Adhere to dress code and personal hygiene standards
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Willingness to participate in in-service trainings
- Maintain a neat and clean work area
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in restaurant operations or a customer service role preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communicative skills
- Ability to operate POS and credit card equipment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure
- Proficient reading and writing skills
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol according to state regulations
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs
- Manual dexterity
- Auditory and visual skills
- Familiarity with company policies and safety procedures
Job Duties
- Greet guests, receive food orders, repeat food orders, charge the appropriate price for each menu item ordered by guests, receive the correct amount tendered by guests and provide the correct change for each transaction
- Enact gift cards requested by guests
- Be very familiar with and up to date with California Fish Grill restaurant’s menu and prices
- Interact with guests in a friendly and fast manner
- Make corrections to guest orders in a fast and efficient manner
- Determine counterfeit money and respond to situations involving counterfeit money
- Assure age requirements are verified prior to serving alcoholic beverages
- Treat all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction
- Report to work in a neat and clean uniform with well-groomed hair and personal hygiene
- Keep work area neat and clean at all times
- Clean and maintain equipment used
- Complete requirements for in-service training, acceptable attendance, uniform and dress codes including personal hygiene
- Support the mission, values and vision of California Fish Grill and the facility
- Cooperate with and implement specific procedures and programs for safety, confidentiality, compliance with laws
- Work together with co-workers using tactful communication
- Follow up appropriately with supervisor, co-workers or guests regarding complaints, problems and concerns
- Promote positive public relations with community, family members and guests
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested
