Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in restaurant cashier or customer service preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems and credit card processing
- Ability to accurately handle cash transactions and make change
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ability to identify counterfeit money
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
- Ability to follow company policies and safety regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs
- Manual dexterity and good auditory and visual skills
- Availability to work flexible hours
- Commitment to neat appearance and personal hygiene
Job Qualifications

- Prior experience in restaurant operations or cashier role preferred
- Basic proficiency in operating POS and credit card equipment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform under pressure
- Proficient reading and writing skills
- Ability to maintain composure in urgent situations
- Legal age to serve alcohol according to State regulations

Job Duties
- Greet guests, receive and repeat food orders, charge the appropriate price for each menu item ordered by guests, receive the correct amount tendered and provide the correct change for each transaction
- Enact gift cards requested by guests
- Be very familiar with and up to date with California Fish Grill's menu and prices
- Interact with guests in a friendly and fast manner
- Make corrections to guest orders quickly and efficiently
- Determine counterfeit money and respond accordingly
- Verify age requirements prior to serving alcoholic beverages
- Treat all guests to ensure their complete satisfaction
- Report to work in a neat and clean uniform with well-groomed hair and personal hygiene
- Keep work area neat and clean at all times
- Clean and maintain equipment used
- Complete in-service training and comply with attendance, uniform, dress code, and other work duties as assigned
- Support the Mission, Values and Vision of California Fish Grill
- Implement safety precautions, fire/safety/disaster plans, risk management, and secure unsafe conditions
- Maintain confidentiality of guest and company data, including credit card information
- Comply with laws and policies for a workplace free from harassment and discrimination
- Cooperate with coworkers and plan and complete job duties with minimal supervision
- Use tactful and appropriate communication in sensitive situations
- Follow up with supervisors, coworkers, or guests regarding complaints, problems and concerns
- Promote positive public relations with community, families, and guests
- Perform other duties as required or requested
