Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous cashier experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Basic math skills
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year cashier experience for Head Cashier role
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to handle transactions accurately
- Leadership and supervisory aptitude for Head Cashier
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of point of sale systems
Job Duties
- Provide fast, friendly, accurate, and safe service to customers
- Process checkout and return transactions
- Monitor and maintain the self-checkout area
- Proactively seek product and project knowledge to inform customers and identify sales opportunities
- Follow policies and procedures to minimize shrink
- Position and support cashiers by expediting price checks and approving point of sale transactions and markdowns
- Provide first level escalation for customer issues
- Assist in coaching and training other front end associates
- Participate in training new cashiers
- Utilize available tools to coach and develop cashiers
