Job Duties
- Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Handle various tenders such as Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, Offline SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, complex loyalty offers, and coupons according to company policy
- Adhere to company policies regarding cash shortages, overages, and loss prevention
- Follow guidelines on restricted sale items like Alcohol, Tobacco, and DVDs
- Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- Follow established policies and procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay up to date with current, future, seasonal, and special advertisements
- Comply with all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Support and reinforce safety programs and notify management of unsafe conditions or accidents
- Perform preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting repair needs
- Create a welcoming environment by answering product questions
- Follow all local, state, and federal laws as well as company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment
- Manage conflicts calmly and cooperatively
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
- Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
