Job Duties
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system
- handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons according to company policy
- adhere to company guidelines on cash shortages, restricted item sales, and loss prevention
- report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- stay informed about current and upcoming promotions and ads
- comply with all food safety and safety program regulations
- identify and report unsafe conditions or equipment needs to management
- create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions about products and services
- adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and company policies
- manage conflict in a calm and cooperative manner
- maintain honesty and integrity in handling customer and business information
- provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
