Job Duties

  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system
  • handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons according to company policy
  • adhere to company guidelines on cash shortages, restricted item sales, and loss prevention
  • report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
  • follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • stay informed about current and upcoming promotions and ads
  • comply with all food safety and safety program regulations
  • identify and report unsafe conditions or equipment needs to management
  • create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions about products and services
  • adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and company policies
  • manage conflict in a calm and cooperative manner
  • maintain honesty and integrity in handling customer and business information
  • provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
