Job Requirements
- No minimum education required
- ability to obtain a food handler's card at start of employment
- willingness to attend CPR training and other required training
- ability to stand or walk for up to 4 hours at a time
- able to bend, crouch, and stoop
- capable of repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement
- occasional lifting up to 40 lbs
- ability to operate a computer system and other IT tools
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous work experience as a store clerk strongly desired
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- basic math skills
- ability to operate cash register and computer system
- self-motivated and able to follow directions
- ability to multitask and stay organized
- adaptable and able to learn quickly
- attention to detail
- ability to work independently
Job Duties
- Ring up customer purchases and receive payments for products by cash, check, credit cards, or automatic debits
- issue receipts and handle refunds, credits, or change
- provide assistance and information on products to customers
- maintain positive interpersonal relationships with customers and co-workers, addressing customer concerns
- keep records of transaction totals and maintain confidentiality
- complete shift reports and other documentation accurately
- verify cash drawer at start of shift
- greet customers upon entry and exit
- keep checkout area clean and orderly
- stock shelves and apply price tags
- operate car wash if applicable
- empty trash cans using safety equipment
- clean and sanitize restrooms
- monitor lot for trash
- provide on-the-job training when requested
- compute every transaction
- complete any other assigned duties
