- Experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is preferred but not required.
Job Duties
- Actively greet, engage, and assist customers
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons, and loyalty offers according to company policy
- Adhere to company guidelines on cash shortages and overages to control loss
- Follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay current with pricing, seasonal, and special advertisements
- Comply with food safety regulations and store safety procedures
- Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs
- Create a welcoming environment by answering product questions
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- Manage conflict professionally and cooperatively
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
