Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of one year prior restaurant cashiering experience
  • Basic knowledge of food presentation, preparation, and food handling
  • Ability to handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Welcome guests with a smile and friendly manner
  • Execute a high standard of customer service from beginning to end
  • Handle each payment transaction accurately and efficiently complying with restaurant policy
  • Maintain all required Point of Sale (POS) receipts as required by policy
  • Provide confident guest interactions and address guest issues or concerns in a polite and professional manner
  • Complete required side work duties and end of shift checkouts to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant
  • Maintain register area clean and well organized
  • Stock register area with any supplies or items needed
  • Answer questions about menu items including food content, preparation style, beverages, and other restaurant services
  • Follow all standard food handling, sanitation, and health department guidelines
  • Maintain customer satisfaction by responding promptly and courteously to requests
  • Follow proper payroll, uniform, and grooming policies and procedures
  • Notify management of unsafe conditions, needed maintenance of tables, chairs, carpet, and/or equipment, and any accidents
  • Maintain open communication with the Front of House and Back of House staff to ensure efficient flow of restaurant
  • Available to fill in as directed by management
  • Perform other duties as assigned
