Job Duties
- Greet, engage and assist customers actively
- process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- handle various payment tenders and checkout procedures according to company policy
- adhere to company guidelines on cash shortages, restricted sales, and loss prevention
- report pricing discrepancies to Scan Coordinator
- follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- stay updated with seasonal and special ads
- comply with all food safety regulations and guidelines
- reinforce safety programs and identify unsafe conditions
- perform preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting issues
- create a welcoming environment and answer customer questions
- adhere to all local, state, and federal laws, and company guidelines
- work cooperatively in high paced and stressful environments
- manage conflict reasonably and nonconfrontationally
- act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
- provide support through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
