Job Duties

  • Greet and engage customers actively
  • process customer transactions quickly and accurately
  • handle various payment methods including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons
  • adhere to company policies on cash shortages, restricted sales, and checkout procedures
  • report pricing discrepancies and follow policies on postage stamps and gift cards
  • stay informed about current and seasonal promotions
  • comply with all food safety regulations
  • reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions
  • perform preventive maintenance inspections and report equipment issues
  • create a welcoming environment by assisting customers with product inquiries
  • comply with local, state, federal laws, and company guidelines
  • manage conflict professionally and cooperatively
  • act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
