- Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk preferred
- Ability to work cooperatively and manage conflict reasonably
- Strong honesty and integrity
- Ability to follow directions and problem-solve
- Support and assistance skills with diverse customer groups
Job Duties
- Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Operate Point of Sale (POS) system handling various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and WIC
- Adhere to company policies on cash shortages, overages, and restricted sales
- Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- Follow protocols for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Maintain compliance with food safety regulations
- Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
- Inspect equipment and notify management of needed repairs
- Create a welcoming environment answering customer questions
- Adhere to local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced, stressful environment
- Manage conflict in a nonconfrontational manner
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
- Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
