Job Duties

  • Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
  • process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • handle various payment types including cash, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons according to company policy
  • control loss by adhering to cash shortage and overage limits
  • enforce guidelines on restricted sale items like alcohol and tobacco
  • report pricing discrepancies to Scan Coordinator
  • follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • stay informed of current, future, and seasonal advertisements
  • comply with all food safety regulations
  • maintain safety by notifying management of unsafe conditions and following safety procedures
  • inspect equipment and report repair needs
  • create a welcoming environment by answering product questions
  • adhere to all local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
  • manage conflicts reasonably and nonconfrontationally
  • act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • follow directions and seek assistance when needed
  • provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodation
