Job Duties
- Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
- process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- handle various payment types including cash, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons according to company policy
- control loss by adhering to cash shortage and overage limits
- enforce guidelines on restricted sale items like alcohol and tobacco
- report pricing discrepancies to Scan Coordinator
- follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- stay informed of current, future, and seasonal advertisements
- comply with all food safety regulations
- maintain safety by notifying management of unsafe conditions and following safety procedures
- inspect equipment and report repair needs
- create a welcoming environment by answering product questions
- adhere to all local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
- manage conflicts reasonably and nonconfrontationally
- act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- follow directions and seek assistance when needed
- provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodation
