Job Duties
- Greet, engage and assist customers actively as a visible team member
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently through the check lane
- Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons and loyalty offers according to company policies
- Adhere to company guidelines on cash shortages, overages and restricted sales items
- Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay current with seasonal and special advertisements
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Identify and report unsafe conditions or accidents to management
- Inspect equipment and notify management of needed repairs
- Provide customers with product information and support
- Comply with local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in high-paced and stressful environments
- Manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
- Support minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults through direct interaction
