Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior cashier experience preferred
- Ability to work full-time schedule Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:30 pm
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to handle cash transactions responsibly
- Ability to follow company policies and safety procedures
- Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations
Job Qualifications
- Prior cashier experience is preferred
- Ability to perform cashiering duties accurately and efficiently
- Strong customer service skills
- Basic math and cash handling skills
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to comply with safety standards and procedures
Job Duties
- Perform sales transactions in a timely fashion
- Enter all sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded
- Make change, accept declining balance cards and other acceptable forms of payment
- Issue receipts to customers
- Follow standard procedures for issuing cash refunds
- Interact with customers and resolve customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Responsible for all assigned change funds and cash receipts ensuring that cash drawer is in compliance with overage/shortage standards
- Observe customer purchases in the cafe line and differentiate between standard portions
- Replenish condiments, coffee, other beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service areas
- Keep pastry case stocked
- Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures
- Ensure compliance with all sanitation, ServSafe and safety requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
