  • Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when needed
  • Experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is desirable but not required

Job Duties

  • Greet and engage customers actively
  • Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately through the check lane
  • Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons, and loyalty offers
  • Adhere to company policies on cash shortages, restricted sale items, and loss prevention
  • Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
  • Follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and reinforce safety programs
  • Inspect and report equipment issues
  • Provide product information and answer customer questions
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
  • Manage conflict cooperatively and professionally
  • Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
