- Ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
- Honesty and integrity in handling customer and business information
- Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when needed
- Experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is desirable but not required
Job Duties
- Greet and engage customers actively
- Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately through the check lane
- Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons, and loyalty offers
- Adhere to company policies on cash shortages, restricted sale items, and loss prevention
- Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- Follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and reinforce safety programs
- Inspect and report equipment issues
- Provide product information and answer customer questions
- Comply with all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- Manage conflict cooperatively and professionally
- Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
