Job Duties

  • Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and visibly
  • Process customer transactions through check lane quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • Handle various payment tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons according to company policy
  • Adhere to company guidelines on cash shortages/overages and restricted sale items
  • Report pricing discrepancies to Scan Coordinator
  • Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • Stay current with all promotional ads
  • Comply with food safety regulations
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions or accidents to management
  • Perform preventive maintenance and report equipment issues
  • Provide product information and foster a welcoming environment
  • Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment
  • Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational manner
  • Maintain honesty and integrity with customer and business information
  • Follow directions and seek assistance as needed
  • Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • Perform essential duties with or without accommodation
