Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to provide excellent customer service
- basic math and cashiering skills
- capacity to stand for extended periods
- physical ability to handle bagging and light lifting
- availability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays

- ability to work efficiently and accurately with point-of-sale systems
- basic problem-solving skills for troubleshooting
- ability to manage multiple customers in self-checkout area

Job Duties
- Engage customers in friendly conversation while making eye contact and smiling
- proactively offer additional assistance
- thank customers for shopping at Wegmans
- efficiently and accurately scan items and process payments
- properly bag items to ensure products arrive at their destination in the condition they left the store
- manage traffic flow in self-checkout area
- direct customers to available self-checkout lanes
- ensure self-checkout lanes are in good working order
- assist customers with self-checkout system troubleshooting
- maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work space
