Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 1 year cashier experience
- customer service orientation
- basic math skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- availability to work flexible shifts
- ability to stand for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- 1+ years of cashier experience
- strong customer service skills
- ability to handle escalated customer issues
- experience in supervising and training others
- knowledge of point of sale systems
- good communication skills
Job Duties
- process checkout and/or return transactions
- monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area
- proactively seek product/project knowledge to provide customers with information and identify selling opportunities
- follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrink
- position Cashiers and support them by expediting price checks
- approve Point of Sale transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental
- provide first level escalation for customer issues
- assist in supervision, coaching and training of other Front End Associates, including participating in the training of new Cashiers
- utilize all available tools to coach and develop other Cashiers
