- Previous experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is preferred
Job Duties
- Greet, engage and assist customers actively and visibly
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently
- Use the Point of Sale system to handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT and coupons
- Adhere to company policies on cash shortages, restricted sale items and loss prevention
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow established procedures for postage stamps, gift cards and coupons
- Maintain food safety regulations and comply with safety procedures
- Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions and providing exceptional service
- Handle conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational manner
- Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve customer issues
- Provide support through interaction with minors, individuals with special needs and older adults
