Job Duties
- Greet and engage customers actively at checkout
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Handle various tenders such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons and loyalty offers
- Maintain adherence to company policies on cash handling and loss prevention
- Ensure compliance with guidelines for restricted items like alcohol and tobacco
- Report pricing discrepancies to management
- Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay updated with current, seasonal, and special ads
- Adhere to food safety regulations and reinforce safety procedures
- Inspect equipment for maintenance needs and report issues
- Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
- Comply with local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- Manage conflict reasonably and cooperate in high-paced environments
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Provide assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
