Job Duties

  • Greet and engage customers actively at checkout
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • Handle various tenders such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons and loyalty offers
  • Maintain adherence to company policies on cash handling and loss prevention
  • Ensure compliance with guidelines for restricted items like alcohol and tobacco
  • Report pricing discrepancies to management
  • Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • Stay updated with current, seasonal, and special ads
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and reinforce safety procedures
  • Inspect equipment for maintenance needs and report issues
  • Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
  • Comply with local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
  • Manage conflict reasonably and cooperate in high-paced environments
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • Provide assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
