Job Duties
- Greet, engage and assist customers actively
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently
- Handle payments including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, coupons, and loyalty offers
- Adhere to company policies on cash shortages, overages, and restricted items
- Report pricing discrepancies to Scan Coordinator
- Follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards and coupons
- Stay current with ads and promotions
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines
- Comply with safety programs and report unsafe conditions
- Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs
- Provide excellent customer service by answering product questions
- Follow local, state and federal laws and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in fast-paced, stressful environments
- Manage conflicts reasonably and cooperatively
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed
- Support minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults through direct interaction
- Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
