Job Duties
- Greet and assist customers actively during their checkout experience
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently through the Point of Sale system
- Handle various payment methods including cash, checks, credit/debit cards, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, coupons, and loyalty offers following company policies
- Adhere to company policies on cash shortages and overages, and work to control loss effectively
- Follow guidelines on restricted sales items such as alcohol and tobacco
- Report pricing discrepancies and maintain adherence to pricing policies
- Comply with all food safety regulations, safety procedures, and company guidelines
- Create a welcoming and appreciative environment for customers by answering product and store-related questions
- Manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner
- Support customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults, through direct interaction
