Job Requirements

  • Customer service experience
  • Effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of basic math including counting, addition, and subtraction
  • Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk preferred
  • Ability to work in a high-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to act with honesty and integrity

Job Duties

  • Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system
  • Handle various payment types including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons, and loyalty offers
  • Adhere to company policies on cash shortages, restricted items, and checkout procedures
  • Report pricing discrepancies and maintain compliance with food safety regulations
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions and practice preventive maintenance on equipment
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions and providing support
  • Follow all applicable laws, company guidelines, and safety procedures
  • Manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner
  • Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
