Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 1 year cashier experience
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
  • basic math skills
  • availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • ability to stand for extended periods

Job Duties

  • process checkout and return transactions
  • monitor and maintain self-checkout area
  • position cashiers and support them by expediting price checks
  • approve point of sale transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, self-checkout, returns, pro desk, special services, and tool rental
  • provide first level escalation for customer issues
  • assist in supervision, coaching, and training of front end associates
  • participate in the training of new cashiers and use coaching tools to develop cashiers
