Job Duties

  • Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and visibly
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, offline SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, and coupons
  • Adhere to company policies on cash shortages, overages, and restricted sale items
  • Report pricing discrepancies and follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • Stay current with seasonal and special ads
  • Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines
  • Comply with safety procedures and notify management of unsafe conditions or accidents
  • Inspect equipment for preventive maintenance and report needed repairs
  • Create a welcoming environment by answering product questions
  • Adhere to all legal and company guidelines
  • Work cooperatively in high-paced environments
  • Manage conflict reasonably and nonconfrontationally
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding business information
  • Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
  • Provide support through interaction with minors, special needs individuals, and older adults
